Tips and Tricks for Communicating your Research

Being an effective communicator is critical to advancing your research career. This workshop, hosted by the UNC Office of Research Communications, will expose early-career researchers to tips and tricks that will elevate communication efforts. Learn why every researcher needs an elevator pitch, tips for crafting one, and how to break it down further into just five words. Gain exposure to Adobe programs Photoshop, illustrator, and in design, when to use them, and how the programs can complement your research visually. Develop an appreciation for photography and videography in communicating your work, and how to discern when to use them.
