Grad School in English and Comp. Lit.: Info Session (and pizza!)

Thinking of applying to Graduate School in English or Comp Lit?
In the midst of preparing your applications for this year’s deadlines?

The Department of English and Comparative Literature is hosting an information session with our own Taylor Cowdery for anyone interested in learning more about the application process. The deadlines for this year are fast approaching, and it’s a good time to be thinking ahead about whether to apply next year. In this information session, current grad students in the DOECL program and professors with experience in graduate admissions will ans​wer any questions you have. We will discuss:
Is Grad School right for you?
MA vs. PhD?
How to choose programs that are right for you
How to write an effective statement of purpose
What admissions committees are looking for
What to expect in grad school

There will be lots of time for questions!!

When: 6:30 PM Weds. Oct 30
Location: Greenlaw Hall (room tba)

PIZZA WILL BE SERVED!!!
