Critical Game Studies Seminar

November 28, 2023 @ 8:00 am - 9:00 am

On Tuesday, November 28th, from 8-9 am, the Critical Game Studies Initiative will be hosting a virtual seminar session about transdisciplinary theory in game studies. Participants will discuss the scholarship of Chris Goto-Jones alongside Loïc Wacquant, exploring the concepts of practice and ethos in and beyond games, and potential ways of applying or extending the theoretical arguments put forward by these writers to also consider how such practices might be “queered.”

The session will be facilitated by Dr. Gaspard Perluson, who is a Lecturer in Culture, Media, and Creative Industries at King’s College London, and Dr. Feng Zhu who is a Lecturer in Games and Virtual Environments at King’s College London.
