Michael Chitwood has published 9 books of poetry. The most recent, Search & Rescue, received the L.E. Phillabaum Award from LSU Press. He edited The Best Creative Nonfiction of the South, Volume II-North Carolina (Texas Review Press. His work has appeared in The Atlantic, The New Republic, Poetry, Threepenny Review and numerous other journals.
