ENGL 400 Level – Research Intensive

These courses require each student to develop and complete a project with a substantial research component. These courses will have:

  • class time devoted to research methods (i.e., library presentations, sessions on methodology) 
  • research-focused course outcome statements
  • time built into the syllabus for individual feedback on research projects
  • a research project (typically a final paper of 15-20 pages) and feeder assignments (such as prospectus and/or annotated bibliography)
