Careers Beyond Academia: Info Session

This event will feature a 2015 ECL alum who was one of the first UNC graduates to be selected as the Lenovo Accelerated Sales Rotation Program and is currently an enterprise account executive at Nutanix (a software company in RTP) who will speak about
- The surprising ways in which the ECL major prepares you for work outside academia
- How to translate and market the skills you gain as an ECL major in your job search
- “Things I know about the working world that I wish I’d known as an undergraduate”
PLUS:
- How to use the UNC Alumni network on LinkedIn to find and connect with ECL Alums working in a range of careers including publishing, social entrepreneurship, non-profits, marketing and PR, law, public health and medicine.
- Advice about connecting up what you love about your major with career opportunities beyond academia
- Information on UNC resources to help you explore career options & professional development opportunities outside of the classroom
