Rev William Barber II’s social justice advocacy contributed to the growth of the Moral Mondays movement; he is President and Senior Lecturer of Repairers of the Breach and co-leader, with Dr. Liz Theoharis, of the Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival. Jaki Shelton Green is North Carolina’s Poet Laureate; she is a much-admired poet, teacher, and community arts activist who currently teaches Documentary Poetry at the Duke University Center for Documentary Studies.
