This week, Carolina Arts & Sciences, the official magazine of UNC’s College of Arts and Sciences, featured the 225th anniversary of the study of English at the university.

The article, which was penned by Carolina Arts and Sciences editor Kim Weaver Spurr, spotlights department leadership, current undergraduate and graduate students, and alumni, all of whom reflect on the department’s history, character, and place in the modern world.

You can read the article here, or find it in any print copy of Carolina Arts & Science’s Fall 2021 issue!
