What a professor. To be fair, he taught a subject I enjoyed, but every day I was excited to be in his creative writing class. He brought such knowledge and expertise to the subject, along with a calm and pleasant demeanor. He bridged the gap between the kids who were dedicated to the subject and those who were there for a grade, and the gap between the white students and students of color. I won’t ever forget the impact he had on me and all the students in my classes with him.
