Sophie Klahr is the author of Two Open Doors In A Field (Backwaters Press, 2023), Meet Me Here At Dawn (YesYes Books) and co-author of There is Only One Ghost in the World (FC2, 2023) (winner of the 2022 Ronald Sukenick Innovative Fiction Contest) with Corey Zeller Her poetry appears The New Yorker, American Poetry Review, Ploughshares, Poetry London, and other publications. Originally a dancer, her interdisciplinary work includes creating scenic texts for theatre and choreography for performance works. She was the 2019-2020 Kenan Visiting Writer at UNC-Chapel Hill, a 2019 Philip Roth Resident at the Stadler Center for Poetry and Literary Arts, and spent 15 months as an artist-in-residence at Art Farm.
