LANDMARKS Folk Music Series

October 6 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Join us for the first iteration of LANDMARKS, a new live folk music series produced in partnership with Good Folk, WXYC, and Fatwood Studio. LANDMARKS seeks to engage with the creative and critical communities built around folk and traditional music in the Triangle area. We’re thrilled to announce our first guest of the series, Nathan Bowles!

As Paradise of Bachelors notes, Nathan “is a multi-instrumentalist musician and teacher living in Durham, North Carolina. His work, both as an accomplished solo artist and as a sought-after ensemble player, explores the rugged country between the poles of Appalachian old-time traditions and ecstatic, minimalist drone.” Nathan’s set will be followed by a conversation with Spencer George of the Good Folk podcast and preceded by a short introduction from a scholar of folk music.

Let’s look to the roots of our past and the expansion of our future—tangled, interwoven, expansive—together. Join us at Fatwood Studio in Carrboro on October 6th at 6pm; hope to see you there.
