“I am currently in the process of applying to medical school while also studying in the department’s M.A. in Literature, Medicine, and Culture, which has prompted many questions about the possible value of an English degree for a career in medicine. Thanks to my studies, I feel well prepared to be a physician who can listen well to his patients and be sensitive to how to best meet their needs.”
