Content Editor for Educational Publishing Company

Class of 1997

“My time in the Department of English and Comparative Literature was formative for both my career and my private life. The department faculty and staff nurtured my writing and editing skills, challenged me to think critically, and equipped me with a deep knowledge of the literary canon that continues to inform my work as a content editor for a thriving educational publishing company. Classes in the department were never just lectures; there was always an element of discussion and participation, so I was required to jump in and grapple with the big ideas of humanity. Those conversations have helped make me who I am, and allowed me to continue to engage with those big ideas with my children, now 18 and 12.”
