Earlier this month, ECL Creative Writing Professor Ross White released a new book of poetry, Valley of Want, published by Unicorn Press.

According to Unicorn, Valley of Want “is a song in celebration of the difficulty of naming, of seeing, of putting one’s finger on the elusive thing one feels is true.”

In a review of the book, Tapping Out author Nandi Comer praised Professor White’s poems for “demand[ing] we see the fullness of this beautiful world—that we keep looking, that we turn through the darkness and take in the world’s most tender joy.”

Valley of Want is available now, and joins Professor White’s two previous books: 2017’s The Polite Society and 2014’s How We Came Upon the Colony, both published by Unicorn. Congratulations, Professor White!
