I started in the Comparative Literature program here in the fall of 2009, after getting my BA from the University in Chicago in comparative literature in the spring of 2009. I work with medieval French, Latin, and English literature. My primary generic specialty is romance, and I'm particularly interested in medieval understanding of character and the ways in which minor characters contribute to texts' construction of plot and ideology. I've also worked with medieval travel literature and issues of translation and adaptation, and I enjoy tracing the transmission of stories and ideas from one time or geographic space to another.
