I received my M.A. from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2012; currently working towards my dissertation, I am also a Teaching Fellow for the Department of English and Comparative Literature and Poetry Editor at the Carolina Quarterly.  My interests include critical theory, the European fin de siècle and the postwar American novel.  My project aims to trace the mobilization of 18th- and 19th-century metaphors of nature within 20th-century literary-critical discourse.
