My current research project, Elizabeth Barrett Browning: The Poetics of Engagement, examines her poetry in the context of other Victorian poets, genre issues, and cultural debates. With Marjorie Stone of Dalhousie University, I have co-edited a selection of Barrett Browning's poetry for Broadview Press.  The two of us also co-edited three volumes of the 5-volume fully annotated edition of the complete Works of Elizabeth Barrett Browning (general editor, Sandra Donaldson) published by Pickering and Chatto.  Totaling nearly 3,000 pages, this is the first ever complete scholarly edition of EBB, and it includes nearly 500 pages of previously unpublished work edited from holograph manuscripts.  Other research in progress includes a collection of essays on the major women characters in Arthurian literature and art.
